IN RECENT TIMES, WE HAVE BEEN AMAZED AND HUMBLED BY THE THINGS THAT PEOPLE WILL DO TO HELP US RAISE FUNDS.  THESE ARE JUST A FEW OF THEM.

MOUNT KILIMANJARO
NVA volunteer Richard Turk from Tyneside has successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for our charity.  We are deeply indebted to Richard.

NORTHAMPTON FUNDRAISING WEEKEND
Carol and Harry Quinn hosted a weekend of activities in memory of their beautiful daughter and grandchildren Claire, Keiren and Jade who were murdered ten years ago. There was a Memorial Service at St Michael and All Angels Church, Bugbrooke, Northampton and a Fun Day in aid of the National Victims’ Association at The Five Bells public house with a bouncy castle, face painting, men’s leg/chest waxing, stocks, barbeque, real ale and music.
Thank you very much indeed to the Quinns and everyone who contributed.

SUNDERLAND GREAT NORTH RUN
Maureen Adamiok and Kathryn Common comnpleted the Sunderland Great North BUPA 10K Run 2010 to raise funds for NVA and we are very grateful for their efforts. Thanks Maureen and Kathryn!

NORTHAMPTON 30 MILES WALK
Five men including Matt Golden, whose sister Claire, nephew Keiren and niece Jade were murdered ten years ago, set off at 3.30am from Brampton Lane, Chapel Brampton and walked along a disused railway line to Market Harborough and back, a total of 30 miles.  Radio Northampton called them live to catch up with them during the walk.  They finished up , bruised, blistered and bleeding, at the Windover public house where the landlady had complimentary beers waiting for them.  What an amazing feat of endurance - and all to raise vitally needed funds for NVA.Thank you so much lads!

WHITEHAVEN TO SUNDERLAND BIKE RIDE
Colin Hardy, whose son Simon was murdered, is cycling from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Roker Park, Sunderland on the 11th and 12 September 2012, in the company of his friend Kevin Featenby.  Please get in touch if you’d like to sponsor the lads. More NVA heroes - well done and thank you!
